{link love} wednesday.

it's about 10:45, and i'm sitting here in bed feeling quite exhausted. husband is already happily asleep right in the middle of the bed next to me. if only i were so lucky to just fall asleep when my head hit the pillow like him. in all fairness he {we, being that every light in the room goes on when he wakes} gets up suupppeerr early, and then works really hard all day. can't blame the guy for wanting to have an 8 o'clock bedtime now can i? Anyhow.... seeing as how we're moving into the 'holiday season,' i thought i would share some cute table ideas for that breakfast/brunch/lunch/dinner/outdoors/indoors party you know you want to have. three or maybe four or five times...

awesome right? you can check out all six inspiring ideas for table setting over at BHLDN.
now all i need to do is convince the family to fly to washington, stay at a crummy hotel {because we have no guest rooms i so desperately want}, only to have christmas + new years parties at our house. OR tell all my friends i'm pregnant, make them believe me, have them fly to washington to see me, and then have a 'hahaha i'm totally not pregnant, i just wanted to have a dinner party with my friends,' dinner party. yesss. time to scheme. friend, if you're reading this right now, i would never............

extra long side note: husband suggested we have a platoon party for those hard working army men the other day... i pretty much screamed yes! promptly started making an out-loud mental list of things we needed like, balloons of course, when he stopped me right there, laughed, and said, 'all we need to do is provide the beer.' errr, whhhaattt???? no. sure maybe they won't notice or even care if their ice cold beer is sitting in a fancy wood bucket, or if the cupcakes i made them are sitting on iron and glass pedestals. i can make it appropriate for army, that's all part of the fun! plus, someone there will totally notice. he probably won't say anything, but he'll notice, and then tell his wife all about it later, and she'll be a part of event planning on base, and then offer me a job to help throw fancy parties everyday, and i'll be super happy forever {don't burst my bubble, it will happen okay}.

alright then, off to bed i go. :0)
