so besides feeling really bad for leaving everyone hanging the past 10 or so days, i have to admit, i was very happy to wake up to some sideways rain this morning. plus, i'm feeling extra healthy even though husband strolled into the house last week with malaria pills for deployment, fresh anthrax, flu, and small pox shots. and yes. yes, small pox is highly contagious. be happy you're not here wondering if you should bleach everything the mr. touches. mom and dad were lucky enough to visit us this weekend, and let me tell you, they're some seriously brave people. if you've been to the theater to see 'contagion' recently, you know what i'm talking about {insert scary music and goosebumps here}.
anywho, other than listening to the soothing sounds of rain today, i broke out season 3 of 'the united states of tara' {thanks mom & dad!}, baked red velvet cupcakes, napped by the fireplace, and made myself a yummy & healthy! three cheese calzone. the pumpkin and flowers are left over from mom and dads visit... i threw a mini dinner party for them of course! oh, and those pretty yellow plates are from our favorite antique store in port orchard. they make the cutest little cupcake plates don't they? another big thank you! to mom and dad for those.
